# Dual-channel visibility

> Your website serves people and AI systems at once. Learn why you need both channels and what happens when you serve only one of them.

Synonyms: Two-channel visibility

Your website has two kinds of visitors today. One is people who read it in the browser and find you through classic search. The other is AI systems that use your content as a source for their answers. Together they make up your visibility — and each has different requirements.

People need clear design, understandable text and good guidance through the page. AI systems need a clean structure, unambiguous statements and machine-readable data. A page built for the eye alone is often misread by AI or not understood at all — a page optimised only technically convinces no human.

The mistake many businesses make is serving only one channel. Whoever relies solely on classic search does not appear in AI answers. Whoever thinks only of AI loses the people. Dual-channel visibility means considering both from the start — so you get found wherever your customer searches.

A simple self-test: ask an AI assistant about your trade in your region — then run a classic Google search. If you only show up in one of the two results, you know which channel needs attention.
